Borrowing Materials from Other Libraries

Students, Faculty, and Staff

Students, faculty, and staff at Saint Michael's can check out books at the University of Vermont and other local college libraries.

University of Vermont

Only a current KnightCard is required. Up to 10 books may be checked out for up to 28 days. For details see UVM Reciprocal Borrowing.

Albany College of Pharmacy

Only a current KnightCard is required. Up to 10 books may be checked out for up to 14 days. For details see ACP Reciprocal Borrowing.

Champlain College

Only a current KnightCard is required. Up to 10 books may be checked out for up to 28 days. For details see Champlain College Reciprocal Borrowing.

Middlebury College

A KnightCard and an official letter from the Durick Library are required. Up to 5 books may be checked out for up to 28 days. For details see Vermont Colleges Reciprocal Borrowing.

Interlibrary Loan

Students, faculty, and staff may borrow items from libraries around the world via interlibrary loan.  There is no charge for this service. Please allow two weeks for delivery. For details see interlibrary loan.

Faculty Only

Vermont Consortium of Academic Libraries

Faculty members may check out books from any college or university in Vermont through the Vermont Consortium of Libraries (VCAL). They must first obtain a VCAL borrowing card from the Durick Library.  For details see VCAL.
