I LOVE helping students with research so much that I’ve been doing it for almost 35 years in various settings including elementary, junior and high schools, public libraries, universities, and colleges.

A New Englander to the core, I’ve lived in several states West of the Mississippi but inevitably returned to the East coast where I enjoy biking, cross country skiing, hiking, and occasionally testing the cold waters of Maine and NH. Summers I’m in my "constant gardener" mode, Novembers I’m knee deep in socks at the annual sock sale in Northfield, VT, and Winters I’m cross country skiing, knitting, and reading.

My favorite books include The Syringa Tree by Pamela Gien, Enemy Women by Paulette Jiles, When Rain Clouds Gather by Bessie Head, Stone Soup by Marcia Brown, and Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. Favorites authors include Elizabeth George, Joyce Carol Oates, Jodi Picoult, Julia Alvarez, Mari Sandoz, Charles Dickens, Eleanor Estes, Astrid Lindgren, Eric Carle, Margaret Wise Brown, and too many others to name.
