"How Practical Knowledge Relates to Receptive Knowledge" 

John McDowell is a fellow of the British Academy and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His publications include: Mind and World (Cambridge, Mass.: Harvard University Press, 1994; reissued with a new introduction, 1996). His most recent collection of papers was published in 2009 in two volumes by Harvard University Press: The Engaged Intellect and Having the World in View.
