Why did you decide to come to Saint Michael's?
When I applied for the Intensive English Language Program, there were two colleges who were hosting the course, The University of Alabama and Saint Michael's College. In my U.S. Embassy interview they asked me which one I would prefer to go if I had the chance to choose. I said Saint Michael's because I found out that it's home to one of the nation's oldest ESL (English as a Second Language) programs and that it demonstrates commitment to academic excellence, intercultural understanding, and attention to students' individual needs and interests.
What's it like to live in Burlington, Vermont?
Burlington is a small but beautiful city surrounded by the spectacular Lake Champlain between the Adirondack and Green Mountains. The people here are very friendly and respectful. One of my favorites place to go is to Church Street. I love its architectural beauty and the different ways to have a good time with friends in cafes, galleries, restaurants and boutiques.
What would you say to prospective students considering Saint Michael's College?
I've done different surveys for classes where I've asked students about how their experience at Saint Michael's has been. All of them said that it has been fantastic and that they have love it. At this college, you have many opportunities to grow as a professional while also getting to know people of different cultures.
