Financial Certification

To receive a student visa you must provide financial certification that proves you have access to the necessary funds for your first year of university. This is also called the "I-20 amount". Financial Certification may include an official letter from a bank or a bank statement, as well as an affidavit of support if the bank account belongs to anyone besides you or your immediate family. The documents from the bank must be less than 90 days old.

To determine an approximate I-20 amount, add $2,000 for books and personal expenses to the cost of your program's tuition and room & board. Undergraduate students should subtract from this amount any scholarship that has been awarded.

You will receive your official I-20 Amount with your acceptance letter.
