Visas and Immigration Information
When you confirm that you plan to enroll in a Saint Michael's College program and submit a copy of your passport and Financial Certification, we will send you an I-20 form. Read more for information on requirements for the I-20 form.
Once you receive your I-20, you are ready to apply for your visa.
Send an email to ApplySMC@smcvt.edu to let us know your flight details. We'll pick you up at Burlington International Airport (BTV).
Upon arrival at Burlington International Airport (BTV), a Saint Michael's Student Assistant will meet and drive you to your residence where you will be welcomed into university life by your Residential Director and fellow students. An international student orientation is usually scheduled for the next day where students learn about their new academic home and how to succeed.
When Should I Arrive?
Pay close attention to the arrival date in your admission materials and contact us if you have a question. If you arrive early, you will likely need to stay at a local hotel at your own expense and take a taxi to your destination.
Health and Immunization Forms
It is important that you complete your Health and Immunization Forms before coming to Vermont. Students will not be allowed to attend classes without the required immunizations.
Almost all students at Saint Michael's College live in a residence hall. Read more about your housing options.
Billing and International Payments
Find answers at Student Financial Services. For more information on international payments, visit our international payments page.
After You Arrive
All students are invited to participate in an International Student Orientation, which includes information on immigration, academics, computing, transportation, health services, setting up bank accounts and a shopping trip.
