Bunny slope or black diamond?
No matter your skiing or snowboarding speed, you'll find happy trails at Smugglers' Notch thanks to St. Mike's ski pass program.
Just 45 minutes from campus, Smugglers' Notch is a world-class resort that boasts three mountains, 78 trails and the highest vertical drop in northern Vermont. It also features the Black Hole, the only triple black diamond trail in the east.
Our ski pass program encourages our students to stay active while exploring Vermont's natural beauty. Any undergraduate student in good academic standing can receive a season pass for just a minimal processing fee. There’s even a free weekend bus from campus to Smuggs through the winter months.
And if you've never skied before? Never fear! Your pass comes with discounts on group lessons from Smugglers' Notch's award-winning ski and snowboard school, plus discounts on equipment rental. Plus, St. Mike's Wilderness Program offers ski clinics throughout the winter.
Our partnership with Smuggs made St. Mike's the first college in the country to offer our students unlimited access to a major ski resort as part of their college experience. St. Mike's even has a trail named in its honor: "Knights' Revenge," in reference to our Purple Knights, is a gladed trail on Madonna Mountain.
