Vermont's Somali Bantu Traditional Band "Walinja"
Saint Michael's College presents "Walinja", Vermont's Somali Bantu Traditional Band, performing at 7 PM in the McCarthy Arts Center. Somali Bantu singing and drumming with Masters, Mohamed Bulle and Osman Hassan. Traveling the U.S. and Canada to help maintain Somali traditional wedding celebrations, Walinja is always in high demand. Their mixture of tradition and celebration offers a unique opportunity to experience Somali culture through music and dance. Walinja will make you dance and bring you joy.
