Marc Ellis, speaking on Jewish liberation theology and the crisis of Israel/Palestine

Marc EllisProfessor Marc H. Ellis, influenced by the Jewish ethical tradition and the dissonance of Jewish life after the Holocaust, has sought to rescue the Jewish ethical tradition in the face of the demands of modern life. Ellis is interested in Holocaust Theology and Liberation Tehology as a reflection on and expression of the mores of the Judeo-christian tradition when faced with socio-political crises. He has authored and edited more than 20 books, including Out of the Ashes: The Search for Jewish Identity in the 20th Century,  and more than 100 articles. He was recently inducted into the Martin Luther King Collegium of Scholars at Morehouse College.
