Speaker Edward Davis: "Religion and Science in Modern America"

Edward B. (“Ted”) Davis will be speaking on "Religion and Science in Modern America" October 7 at 4pm in St. Edmund's Hall Farrell Room 315. Davis is a professor of the History of Science at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania. He edited (with Michael Hunter) The Works of Robert Boyle, 14 vols., and has written numerous articles for scholarly journals and popular magazines. His essay on modern Jonah stories has been featured in two radio programs by the British Broadcasting Company. With support from the John Templeton Foundation and the National Science Foundation, he is currently researching the religious lives and beliefs of prominent American scientists from the 1920s.
