Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
For over 50 years, Saint Michael's MATESOL program has been recognized locally and internationally as a premier learning environment for prospective teachers. With a number of programs available, all at an affordable cost, studying at St. Mike’s means you’ll be experience a supportive and close-knit community.
Coming together on a beautiful campus in Vermont, our faculty and students are from all over the world. During your time in the classroom, you will discuss TESOL theory and apply what you’ve learned, before implementing your skills in schools around the world.
If you already have graduate TESOL courses completed from an approved program, you may be able to transfer up to 6 credits to our Masters. TESOL certificate holders from our own campus' Summer TESOL/TEFL Certificate, Via Lingua, UC Irvine Extension, and Sookmyung University may be eligible for advance standing according to our articulation agreements. In addition, applicants who have earned a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from the Cambridge English Language Assessment, part of the University of Cambridge, also are eligible for 6 credits of advanced standing.
