At Saint Michael’s, we don’t really think of “service” as something we do. It’s who we are.
More than 75% of our students are involved with service at St. Mike’s, caring for others in big and small ways, inside the classroom and out. Our Fire and Rescue squad serves our neighbors in northern Vermont as part of the second-busiest emergency response unit in the state. You don’t need experience to join—you’ll be trained by experts to become a certified first-responder who can save lives.
Your first-year seminar might have a service-learning component that connects to the class’s academic content. MOVE, our service organization, will help you reach others close to campus and as far away as India.
There's even an orientation weekend especially for students who are interested in service. It's never too soon to start "giving back" as a part of your Saint Michael's experience.
