Saint Michael's students graduate and become successful professionals who have the intellectual tools and the social consciousness to make meaningful change in the world.
Joe Maher III '07 works at Fidelity Investments in Boston, as a member of the service team of Fidelity Charitable. "I was a business major and wanted to be in something business-related, but having come from Saint Michael's, I wanted to do something on the honorable side, so philanthropy appealed to me." Saint Michael's runs in the Maher family: Joe's sister Anne '09 does hospital social work and counseling, and his late father, Joe Maher Jr. '69, was a successful attorney.
The vast majority of our alumni go to work full-time right after graduation, and about half will go to graduate or professional school within five years. No matter which path they choose, from teaching to medicine to business to the arts, our alumni take a solid foundation in the liberal arts, a strong sense of self and a desire to give back to their communities.
