When you come to St. Mike’s, don’t expect to take it easy.
Instead, expect to be challenged, amazed and inspired. Our incredible Vermont location will have that effect on you. When you take a first-year seminar on the American Environmental Imagination, you’ll write essays outside while gazing at a spectacular mountain view. Or try Adventure Filmmaking, a unique collaboration between the Department of Media Studies, Journalism and Digital Art and the Wilderness Program, where you can examine environmental issues and the outdoors through wilderness pursuits and videography.
Our Wilderness Program will get you into the Vermont landscape no matter your outdoor skill level. Hike, snowshoe, ski, or learn to ice climb or rock climb. And plan ahead for Spring Break: this past year, the Wilderness Program traveled to Scotland’s Isle of Skye. Read more about their time on the waves on the Wilderness Program blog.
