
Gabbi Hall '13 is a Media Studies/Journalism/Digital Arts major from Incline Village, NV. She has pipes to go along with her on-piste abilities, as she is a member of the Alpine Ski Team and the AcaBellas, and can be found doodling, picking out outfits and writing articles in the Defender in her spare time. She has skied in eight different countries, is a three-time California state trampoline champion, and loves Saint Mike's because "it has given me the tools to be the best 'me' possible."


Ben Rosbrook '15 is from Syracuse, NY, double majoring in Anthropology and Biology. On campus, he is involved in Green Up, Founders Society, Common Ground, the Wilderness Program and the swim team. Ben speaks four languages and, somewhat unbelievably, has never been to Disney World. He likes St. Mike's because "the professors are great and it's in Vermont! Also, the Smuggs pass."


Marci Wood '14 is from Chateaugay, NY majoring in Biology (pre-pharmacy) and minoring in Chemistry. Some of her many on-campus activities and roles include Founders Society, peer tutoring, retreat team leader and studying leeches for a summer research project. Marci is also an avid collector of nail polish and likes going to concerts at Higher Ground, taking pictures of squirrels and loves cats. She likes Saint Mike's because "of all the amazing opportunities students have to be involved on campus!"


Alex Byrne '14 is a Psychology major from Mamaroneck, NY, who also minors in History. Alex is an extremely involved member of MOVE and Founders Society and is also a VITA team leader. In her spare time, she read, cooks for her friends and specializes in making people's day. How, you ask? Well, she admits to "adoring" hugs and offers them to whoever on campus might need them. She likes Saint Mike's because "it's become my second home - no matter who you meet, whether it be professors, students, or even the sweet people at the Knightstand, you always feel the presence of the SMC family!"


Lauren Mazzoleni '15 is a Digital Arts/Media Studies/Journalism major, with a minor in Psychology, from Salem, NH. Lauren’s special ability is that she can touch her tongue to her nose. Sadly, she has never tried cherries or Skittles. She makes up for it by DJing at WWPV, being an active member of Founders Society, spending excessive hours in Alliot and playing tennis. She likes Saint Mike's because "it is a place where I've found true happiness because of the Vermont scenery, the greatness of downtown Burlington and the caring community of my professors and classmates."


Juliana Summers '15 is a Media Studies/Journalism/Digital Arts major from Queensbury, NY. She is minoring in Italian, a member of Founders Society and enjoys writing, photography, running and "shopping way too much," and has been a vegan for almost two years. She likes Saint Mike's because "our SMC community is basically a big family and I feel happy here 24/7. Plus, our campus is absolutely beautiful!"


Alex Brenock '15 is a Psychology major from Medway, MA with a minor in Business. Her hobbies include tennis and telling pirate jokes, the latter of which she employs frequently in her roles as tour guide, teaching assistant, and VITA team leader. Her favorite color, fittingly, is purple and she is the same height as Shakira - 4'11". She likes Saint Mike's because "I've found a warm, friendly, caring community here."


Brendan "Boates" Oates '14 is an Environmental Studies and Elementary Education double major from White Plains, NY. He very much enjoys Frisbee, theater, radio, playing the ukulele, rock climbing and procrastinating. Be careful on a walk in the woods with him, as he admits he'll try to identify every tree, plant, bug and animal he encounters. An interesting fact about Boates is that he was once attacked by a duck. He likes St. Mike's because it "offers a ton of great things I would never have been able to do if I went somewhere else." And also because the ducks here are a little nicer than elsewhere.


Elizabeth Murray '13 is a Media Studies/Journalism/Digital Arts and History double major from Adams, MA. She is a member of the Tap Club, a former writer for the school's newspaper, and spends time outside of class adventuring with friends and working on her photography skills. She is a self-described "Gleek," watching the popular show every week with her roommate, and likes Saint Mike's because "it feels like home. My friends have become some of my closest, and the general community is awesome and so welcoming."


Lauren "Ren" Kopchik '15 is from Poughkeepsie, NY, majoring in Media Studies/Journalism/Digital Arts and minoring in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing. She is a talented sleeper and shower-singer, an active member of the Honors Program, MOVE and the Food Justice Club and her favorite color changes every day. She likes Saint Mike's because "it's like no other place I’ve ever seen!"


Jessica Campbell '15 is from Canastota, NY with a double major in Media Studies/Journalism/Digital Arts and Applied Linguistics. Her hobbies include photography (she's in the Photo Club), ballet, bowling (with a high game of 262!) and tennis. Perhaps most importantly, she can ride a unicycle. She likes St. Mike's because "it really has become my home away from home and the community feeling is irreplaceable."


Merrill Poor '15, from Mount Vernon, NH, is a Psychology major who owns two goats. When not tending to her goats, Merrill plays piano, Zumbas, sings in the Liturgical choir, is a VITA team leader, is a Horses + Healing teaching assistant, a MOVE mentor and is obsessed with television. She likes Saint Mike's because "of the wonderful friends I've made during my time here and the variety of classes that the liberal arts curriculum has allowed me to take."


Lauren Murphy '15 is from Bronx, NY majoring in Psychology and minoring in Media Studies/Journalism/Digital Arts. She has been to Greece, Portugal, Spain and France but, despite currently living less than 50 miles from the border, has never been to Canada. She is a VITA team leader, a DREAM mentor, and a talented singer and rapper, and can do a "killer" British accent. She likes Saint Mike's because "it is such an open community, where everyone is supportive of each other!"

Lisa Ritter '14 is a Media Studies and Digital Arts major and a French minor from Westford, MA. She is part of the Founders Society, a DJ at SMC's radio station WWPV, a co-editor of the yearbook, and an avid skier. Lisa loves photography, social media, her cats, and traveling. She even spent fall of her junior year abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lisa likes St. Mike's because "everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Students, professors, faculty - they all want to help you achieve your goals."


Emily Clegg '16 is an English major from Weymouth, MA. She is involved with Drama Club, VITA, Founder's Society, and is a DJ for the SMC radio station WWPV. Emily loves nail polish, cooking, and her cat. In her spare time, she can be found drawing memes on her friend's whiteboards and going down to Church Street Marketplace. She likes Saint Mike's because "the opportunities I have encountered here are amazing. I have formed close relationships with my friends and professors and am so happy to call Saint Mike's my second home."

Mike Brown '14 is from Dunstable, MA, majoring in Biology and minoring in Business. Mike is involved in many activities including Green Up, MOVE, Founder's Society and the Wilderness Program. On a typical winter weekend you can find him taking advantage of the nearby skiing at Smuggs or Bolton. Mike once tried being a vegetarian for a week before realizing that he does not actually eat any vegetables. He likes Saint Mike's because everyone is friendly and there is always something to do on or around campus.

Katelyn Whitman '14 is from Meriden, Connecticut double majoring in History and Theatre with a double minor in Classical Civilizations and Medieval Studies. She is very involved as a VITA Team Leader, Drama Club Member, and with Founders Society. She enjoys all aspects of social media and unleashes her inner nerd by working at the IT Helpdesk. Upon her return to the states from studying abroad in England, Katelyn appreciates Saint Mike's so much more: "You never know how special Saint Mike's is until you spend some time away from it. I'm so glad to be back!"
