Classrooms and Labs
The College offers both public and class access to computers in various buildings on main campus. In Durick (DR) Library, DR 327, a public lab, offers 12 high-end workstations with Adobe Creative Cloud and ArcGIS. DR 115, a teaching lab with 30 PCs, is available for individual use when classes are not in session. Public computers are also available throughout the main floor of the library. In the classroom buildings, a small 10-computer public lab is located in St. Edmunds 230, and two kiosk-type public computers are installed outside Cheray 201.
There are teaching labs in Jeanmarie and Saint Edmunds Halls: Two Digital Media labs on the first floor of Jeanmarie , dedicated to the Media, Journalism, and Digital Arts (MJDA) Department with 17 high-end workstation PCs per lab, as well as peripheral equipment configured for digital video and audio editing; Jeanmarie 140, a Computer Science lab with 13 Linux computers and no public access; Jeanmarie 288, a teaching lab with 17 workstations; and St. Edmunds 113, a Fine Arts lab with 15 iMacs which offers limited public access on a daily schedule.
Language Learning Resource Center (LLRC)
The Language Learning Resource Center (Saint Edmund's Hall 215) is a flexible teaching space, designed for students who are learning languages or working on digital projects. The LLRC also circulates various digital devices for academic use. A student workforce in several of these labs provides hands-on help with software from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the academic year. Linux-based computers in the Halsted Lab (Jeanmarie Hall 140) are used for teaching computer science and math applications.
Classroom and Lab Support
The Helpdesk supports academic classrooms on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and can be contacted at x2020. For immediate classroom equipment assistance please use the “Classroom Support” button located on all classroom phones.
Reporting an Issue in a Classroom
Please report any non-emergency classroom-related issues to the Helpdesk at firstname.lastname@example.org, x2020. If the issue is preventing your class from continuing, call Media Services at x1919 for immediate assistance.
