Wellness + Safety

saint michael's college rescue teamSaint Michael's believes in a holistic approach to wellness, offering services that focus on both the physical and behavioral needs of our students.

Both Student Health Services and the Office of Personal Counseling are accessible on campus to all students. Both offices can also assist students in appointments off campus with local medical providers, specialists, or counseling.

In addition to these services, Saint Michael's has its own Office of Public Safety. Public Safety officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. These officers work very closely with the Student Life duty structures. Resident Assistants, Resident Directors, Associate Directors of Residence Life, and Assistant Dean of Students participate in the on-campus duty rotation. These para-professional and professional staff members work closely with Public Safety officers to enforce policy and address safety concerns. Saint Michael's also has a Fire and Rescue Squad, made up of alumni, student, and staff volunteers who provide assistance to the local communities as well as campus.

The Fanny Allen Hospital Walk-in Clinic is within close walking distance, while Fletcher Allen Health Care and its emergency room are a short drive from campus in Burlington.
