Student Support Network
The Student Support Network (SSN) is a training program designed to give students the skills needed to identify, support, and refer peers who may be struggling with personal issues. The SSN looks to improve student recognition of the signs and symptoms of mental health distress, as well as alcohol and other drug abuse. Alongside increased recognition skills, students become more confident in reaching out to their friends, improve their ability to support peers in the moment, and know how to refer students to appropriate resources on campus.
This training is a mandatory six-week commitment for 1 hour and 15 minutes each week. If you are interested in learning more, or would like to sign-up, please email Catherine Welch at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 802.654.2271.
