I wanted to attend Saint Michael's College because of the location and the well-regarded academics of the school. I am an avid skier so being really close to all of the Vermont mountains (Stowe, Smuggs, Jay Peak) was a huge advantage for me. Also it helps that the school is close to Burlington, which is one of the nicest college towns.
I am currently involved with the Shred SMC program here and I work for the phon-a-thon program. I attend the Shred SMC club events, such as "meet and greets" at the mountains and participate in the rail jams on campus. I also really enjoy skiing at the local mountains in general.
My best experience during my time here at Saint Michael's College is living in an 8- person suite because I have never had an opportunity to live with that many people before and it is unlike anything I have experienced. I enjoy it when I get back and have a lot of friends around.
During my time at Saint Michael's College I have come to know a lot of people, tried new experiences, and am getting a great education. After graduation I have dreams of moving out west, preferably near a ski mountain, and working for some sort of marketing firm. It could be in skiing, sports, or general marketing firm.
