Dual-degree (Saint Michael's and UVM) civil engineering degree
I got a job right after graduation. Science and math always appealed to me. I came to Saint Michael's specifically for engineering. The workload was intense and the program was very challenging, but I knew it would be worth it in the long run. I just passed the professional engineers exam, and now I'm recognized as a professional engineer in Vermont.
I manage several projects within the organization and also oversee our intern program, hiring four to six civil or mechanical engineering students each year.
I met my wife, Jillian Kasierski '04, at St. Mike's. I'm still very close to my old college friends.
Every day, I apply what I learned at Saint Michael's to my professional life. I'm grateful for liberal arts and science courses that showed me different ways of seeing. Robert Lair's "Understandings of God" helped me grow into a broader appreciation of all the religions out there. It helps me now in meetings to remember that people view things differently.
