My major professor, William Garrett, and my experiences as a residence hall staff member, Fire and Rescue member, and member of the Crown and Sword Society were all really meaningful parts of my St. Mike's education.
My advice to new students is this: Get your academic plan established and underway first. Then pursue your personal interests and passion through the many opportunities available on campus.
I started in Higher Education Administration at Michigan State University, then to Transylvania University (Lexington, KY), then back to Michigan State.
In 1984, I moved to accommodate a career advancement opportunity for my wife to Boston, and I joined Deloitte (formerly Touche Ross) in Human Resources. I eventually became the Chief Human Resources Officer for the U.S. firm, then globally. I retired on December 31, 2011.
