I fell in love with philosophy over 10 years ago after having an incredible professor who showed me the world as I never knew it existed. It quickly became my dream to teach my own courses in philosophy, a dream I am happy to be fulfilling this year at Saint Michael's. My teaching is fundamentally Socratic in that it proceeds via question and answer and is intended to inspire the wonder or curiosity with which Plato tells us philosophical thinking begins. Philosophy is truly a way of life, and I hope my students will learn that it is not a strange subject but one that is fundamentally about them and their everyday experience.
I am teaching PH 103, Introduction to Philosophy in the Fall and Spring.
