What’s your favorite class at St. Mike’s?
Sports Psychology with Professor Dave Landers. It’s an applied psychology course where I get to use what I’ve learned in all my other psych courses to help develop my understanding of sports.
What is the one thing you wished you DIDN’T pack your first-year?
I wish I didn’t pack my tall standing lamp. I thought I might like the warmer lighting, but found that the lights that are already in the room helped keep me cheerful and alert whenever I needed to be, which was essentially whenever I was awake.
What's a fun fact about St. Mike’s that a first-year student should know?
Take advantage of the Sloane Dining Hall on North Campus. First-years typically come to school with a lot more money to spend than they will other years, and it’s important to know that they shouldn’t spend that money on going out to dinner constantly with friends when you can go up to Sloane and use your meal plan to get dinner out instead.
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the Dailey Room in the Durick Library, because it has the most beautiful view of the campus, but it’s also a great environment to study in because it’s quiet and the view really keeps me from feeling confined by my work.
What is one thing you’ve learned at St. Mike’s (in or out of the classroom) that surprised you?
How much every class I’ve taken has applied in some way to my own life, even to the very day I was living. That really blew me away.
