What do you like about St. Mike's?

I love how you can walk across campus and see at least five people that you know. You're always saying hi to people.

How'd you learn about St. Mike's?

I did a lot of research with my mom. I toured eight different colleges, but all it took was my tour of St. Mike's for me to know it was the right school for me.

Do you have a favorite professor?

My first-year seminar teacher, Professor [Brigid] Kerr. I was in her "Horses and Healing" class, which I loved. I'm a teaching assistant this semester. I wasn't a horse person before coming to St. Mike's, so I didn’t have formal training with horses before, but now I'm hooked!

What's your favorite spot on campus?

The trail between Main Campus and North Campus. There's a path where you can ride your bike, or I like to long-board or roller-board there. At night the sun sets and you can see all the lights, but during the day it's also just calm and peaceful.

Off campus?

The mountains, because you can see all four seasons with the changing in the trees. I like getting out and skiing at Smuggs. At home in California, the ski slopes are three hours away, so it's nice being this close to them.

How do you give back to the community?

I volunteer with MOVE, doing weekly activities, like Correctional Volleyball, and the Senior Citizen Prom which was really fun. I also went to New Jersey for a week to help with Hurricane Sandy relief. I'm also a tour guide.

What makes you happy?

Food and friends! Especially when they're together.

What are you grateful for at St. Mike's?

All the opportunities that are available here. It is so easy to try something new.
