Academic Enrichment Programs

Funding is available for a wide range of academic and cultural programming for undergraduate classes at Saint Michael's College.  Experiential learning—both on and off campus—is particularly important in the full residential learning experience of the college’s liberal arts community.

Some of the more popular options for Academic Enrichment Programming include (but are not limited to):

  • Faculty-student dinners in the home of the professor
  • In-class pizza (or early evening pizza on campus), often in conjunction with a film screening or special presentation
  • Visiting speakers – funds are available for refreshments and small honorariums
  • Field trips related to coursework
  • Local service trips for service-learning courses
  • Refreshments for special workshops or panel discussions designed for students
  • Refreshments for student readings or presentations
  • Student research stipends

If you have a course-related or student-oriented activity for which you would like to receive Academic Enrichment Funds, please first read the Instructions for Funding from Academic Enrichment Programs. Once you determine that your activity might fit the criteria for funding, fill out the AEP Funding Request form and submit it electronically to the Coordinator of Academic Enrichment Programs, at jwagner@smcvt.edu.
