
Saint Michael’s is a Catholic college of just under 2,000 students located minutes from the outstanding college town of Burlington, Vermont.
The College was founded by the Society of Saint Edmund in 1904. Their guiding principles of education, justice, and service to the poor are at the heart of the Saint Michael’s experience.
St. Mike’s is included in the Fiske Guide to Colleges, regarded as the most authoritative, most prestigious directory of colleges and universities, and Princeton Review’s Best 376 Colleges. Mission: It is the mission of Saint Michael’s College to contribute through higher education to the enhancement of the human person and to the advancement of human culture in the light of the Catholic faith.
Curriculum: Liberal arts foundation; 34 majors, 30 minors; Honors program, independent research and internship opportunities; Phi Beta Kappa. Graduate programs in clinical psychology, education, teaching English as a second/foreign language and theology and pastoral ministry. For international students, special ESL programs are offered.
Location: 440 acres between the shores of Lake Champlain and the majestic Green Mountains in Colchester, Vermont. We’re minutes from Burlington, the state’s largest city and cultural center, and a renowned college town.
Our students: 1,900 undergraduates; 650 graduate students; 250 international students. Students hail from 38 states and 13 countries (79 percent from outside of Vermont). 54 percent are women, 46 percent male.
Our faculty: 150 full-time; 94 percent hold their Ph.D. or other terminal degree

Campus life: St. Mike’s is a 24/7 living and learning environment. 100 percent of students live on campus and housing is guaranteed for all four years. There are approximately 40 student organizations and 25 intramural teams (in addition to varsity athletics).
Athletics: 21 varsity teams competing in the ECAC/NCAA Division II. Approximately 19 percent of students participate in varsity sports.
Study abroad: 30 percent of our students study abroad. St. Mike’s offers more than 100 programs in countries around the world for semester, summer or winter study.
Facilities: Two campuses, Main and North. Main is home to almost all academic and administration buildings, most residence halls, and the Durick Library, Alliot Student Center, McCarthy Arts Center, Ross Sports Center and Tarrant Recreation Center. Admission: Competitive. 90 percent of first-year students ranked in the top half of their high school class. The middle 50 percent of students scored 574 on the writing portion of the SAT, 573 on critical reading and 578 on mathematics. The combined score was between 1570 and 1870. Learn more.

This total fee includes tuition, room, board (on-campus meals) and some fees, but does not include books, supplies, personal spending and travel expenses.
The expenses for books, supplies, and any course fees are estimated at $1,200 per year above the combined fee listed above; personal spending and travel costs will vary by student and are not included in either of these estimates.
