Assistant Professor of Biology

Saint Michael’s College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to commence in the 2009-10 academic year.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree, demonstrated ability to develop a research program in an area that would interest pre-healthcare career students, and experience teaching undergraduates. Postdoctoral research experience is desirable.  Teaching responsibilities total 21 contact hours per year and ideally would include 2 upper-level lecture/lab courses, in Anatomy and an additional area of expertise, as well as participation in our General Biology course for first-year majors.  Applicants should also be interested in teaching non-majors and interdisciplinary courses.
