At Saint Michael's, you can study Pre-Health, Environmental Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, or Biology Education. You can also create your own selection of biology courses.

What our courses are like
Whether knee-deep in the streams near Saint Michael’s or in the rainforests of Costa Rica, our diverse courses emphasize hands-on learning. We offer Neurobiology, Tropical Ecology, Animal Behavior, Genetics, Evolution and more. Our faculty also involve students in their active research programs during the academic year and during the summer.

As a biology student at Saint Michael's ...
Under the microscopeYou can intern with the Vermont State Medical Examiner’s Office or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service or many other possible sites. 

You can conduct and present research on aquatic biology, or genetics and evolution, to name just a few subjects.

You can go on to pursue veterinary medicine, dentistry, and other healthcare professional schools, or get an M.S. or Ph.D. in biology as a large number of Saint Michael's graduates have done.
