Internships

"Interns from Saint Michael's College come prepared to work hard and become assets to the organization."

Internships are a key way our students can investigate a career while gaining valuable experience, new skills and career connections.

You might work as an advocacy intern with the Committee on Temporary Shelter in downtown Burlington. Make the most of your communication skills as a marketing assistant with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. Research program subjects for Vermont Public Television.

We have over 200 opportunities with local businesses, some run by our alumni, in fields from accounting to the arts, public policy to public relations, and environmental issues to event planning.

St. Mike’s Internship Program director will work closely with you to find a great match to your goals, whether you’re seeking an academic year or summer intern opportunity. We even have an Alumni Summer Internship program, with possible internships with Saint Michael’s graduates around the country.

Once you’re placed, you’ll have lots of support along the way. Our interns work with a site supervisor, a faculty supervisor and the internship program director to ensure that they get the most out of their experience. And you may just find yourself a career mentor.

There is no other experience like having an internship. It is the best decision that I have made in my four years at St. Mike’s.
