B.A. Pomona College; M.A. University of Notre Dame; Ph.D. University of Notre Dame
Courses Taught: Peace and Justice First Year Seminar; Approaches to Peace; Religion and War and Peace
Areas of Expertise: Catholic social teaching; women and religion; theology and spirituality; religion and literature

On Teaching and Research: Dr. Gagne appreciates the complementarity of her research and teaching. When she writes an article - or book - about something, she can communicate it in a more original way in class. Conversely, after she has prepared a subject as part of a course, she is more likely to have the desire to write about it.
Outside Saint Michael's: Dr. Gagne enjoys cooking, watching her sons' basketball games and hiking with friends.
