Saint Michael's College has an articulation agreement with the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (www.acphs.edu), which has a campus nearby in Colchester.
Through this agreement, the ACPHS Doctor of Pharmacy program (PharmD) assures interviews each year to qualified Saint Michael's College students who have met the following course requirements (listed below), and who have surpassed ACPHS's PCAT threshold:
- Completion of at least 60 credits at Saint Michael's with an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 (only grades of C or above will count towards the 60 credits)
- Completion of the following required Pre-pharmacy courses at Saint Michael's College:
- General Biology I and II
- General Chemistry I and II
- Organic Chemistry I and II
- Calculus I
- Statistics
- Physics I and II
- Microbiology
- General Psychology
- A course in public speaking (waived for Saint Michael's students)
- 3 courses in areas such as literature, composition, civilization, history, humanities
- 3 courses in areas such as fine arts, psychology, sociology, foreign language, political science, economics
- Completion of the interview at ACPHS
- Completion of the writing assessment
- Completion of the PCAT
The ACPHS Doctor of Pharmacy Program is a full-time, four-year program.
