Areas of Expertise/Research Interests: Latin American women writers, post-war Spanish poetry from the Franco era to the present.

Testimonial: You can't teach the student if you don't know the human material you are talking about.

What do you like most about teaching/working at Saint Michael's College? When I came to Saint Michael's, I was teaching at University of Arizona, with 25,000 students. I was looking for a place I could grow professionally and spiritually, and Saint Michael's was the perfect place for me.

What is your favorite class to teach, and why? There is no favorite class, because I enjoy every single class. You have to know what you are doing and be excited in every class -- otherwise students will think it's not worth it.
