Testimonial:
Unlike other big colleges, Saint Michael’s offers a very friendly atmosphere for both studying and social life and this makes me feel safe and secure because everyone knows each other and we are like a family. At the same time the school has a diverse student population from many countries so you are exposed to many cultures like you would find in a larger university.
Why did you decide to come to Saint Michael's?
I wanted to take advantage of a small school atmosphere and have a close relationship with staff, professors and classmates.
What's it like to live in Burlington, Vermont?
Burlington is a beautiful and fun city, and I always feel safe here.
What was a favorite class at Saint Michael's?
I enjoyed taking the English Grammar course during my first semester of the masters’ program. Even though it was one of the most difficult courses, I learned so many things that will help me significantly as an ESL Teacher. I enjoyed having a very passionate professor.
What do you like to do outside of the classroom?
There are many outdoor things to do such as hiking, bike-riding, kayaking and skiing very close by. And because Burlington is a small city, you get the benefit of good shopping, great restaurants and places for entertainment like you get in larger cities.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I plan to apply for an ESL teaching job in the United States to apply what I learned at Saint Michael’s in a classroom outside of my home country.
