Education:
B.A. Springfield College; M.L.S. Simmons School of Library Science
Areas of Expertise/Research Interests:
Information literacy and libraries.
Testimonial:
Almost every student encounter at the reference desk is a success story. Students approach the reference desk with a question and usually walk away with a pile of articles and books.
What do you like most about teaching/working at Saint Michael's College?
Students are often challenged to conduct research in areas which are new to them; I enjoy guiding them in the selection of the best and most appropriate sources for their specific research topics and questions.
What do you like about Saint Michael's students?
Student commitment to volunteer off-campus through the MOVE Office, and other organizations in the community.
What is your favorite class to teach, and why?
I teach LS101: Introduction to Research in an Electronic Environment spring semesters. While the class is intended for first and second year students, seniors will occasionally enroll. Seniors often remark at the end of the semester that they wish they had taken LS101 earlier.
