Program: Philosophy/History

Hometown: Woodstock, CT

Testimonial: At Saint Michael's, you don't have to try hard to make great friends.

What's it like to live in Burlington, Vermont? I come from a very small farming town so the city life is a different experience, but Burlington is not an overwhelming place and I have very much enjoyed the change.

What was a favorite class at Saint Michael's? One particular favorite of mine was the philosophy course, Topics: Justice with Professor Tumulty. It opened my eyes to the different concepts of justice and how they play out in modern society.

What do you like to do outside of the classroom? I enjoy playing the piano, drawing and painting, photography, helping to run the Saint Michael's Conservative Club and relaxing with friends.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I would like to pursue a master's degree and then perhaps a Ph.D. I would also like to work in a museum and continue to do historical and philosophical research, as well as write books and teach.

What would you say to prospective students considering Saint Michael's College? Saint Michael's is a good place; if you have trouble with classes, professors are always willing to help. The students are nice and welcoming, and there's always something to do on campus.
