What's it like to live in Burlington, Vermont?
Burlington is the central location for Vermont's diversity and vitality. It is located in a beautiful region of Vermont and boasts the state's liveliness and youthfulness.
What was a favorite class at Saint Michael's?
Social Inequalities with Dr. Adrie Kusserow because we discussed socio-economic disparities that are so stigmatized in our society. It was an eye-opening course.
What do you like to do outside of the classroom?
I am the leader of the New Sudan Education Initiative (NESEI) group on campus. I fundraise for building schools in Southern Sudan in Africa, as well as promote awareness concerning Sudan on campus. I also participate in International Outreach and Homework Club, in which I mentor Somali refugees from a local elementary school.
What would you say to prospective students considering Saint Michael's College?
Saint Michael's has a lot to offer. Take every possibility the college gives you and run with it. You will certainly meet fascinating people as well as develop a global perspective.
