Testimonial:
One time, for our chemistry professor's birthday, we filled his office with 700 square feet of balloons as a surprise. That's just one example of the sense of community that exists here at Saint Michael's.
Why did you decide to come to Saint Michael's?
It wasn't until I had a tour of the campus that I knew I had to be here. The beautiful campus, the curriculum, the professors, and the brave squirrels that approach you as you go to class immediately captivated me. When my tour was done, I was walking around the academic building when Professor Green saw me and knew I was a prospective student. He then gave me a tour of the Biology department's facilities and briefly described the department. It was then that I knew I needed to be here.
Have you had any internship or study abroad experiences?
I love that Saint Michael's encourages interships as much at it does. I had an internship in Spring 2008 at Green Mountain Antibodies and, because of my intership there, I worked with them full time over the summer before I started my summer research.
What would you say to prospective students considering Saint Michael's College?
I would tell them there are two different ways to learn at a school: you can get an education or you can take your education. Saint Michael's doesn't want you to get an education; they want you to take your education and use it to distinguish yourself as an unparalleled intellectual.
