Areas of Expertise/Research Interests: Software engineering; testing object-oriented software; computer science/information systems education

Testimonial: The opportunity to develop lasting relationships with students during their four years here at Saint Michael's is truly unique. I like the fact that we keep up with our students after graduation as well.

What do you like about Saint Michael's students? I appreciate the fact that students at Saint Michael's are not only interested in what they can learn in my academic area, but they are also interested in my life outside of Computer Science.

What is your favorite class to teach, and why? Introduction to Computer Science. I like working with first-year students and helping them to discover the breadth of the computing field as well as the misconceptions that they invariably may have about computing.

What kinds of unique opportunities are available to students in your classes or department? Due to our small class sizes, students can take advantage of opportunities to work on special projects with our faculty and/or engage in summer research with us.

Favorite quote: "Computer Science is no more about computers than Astronomy is about telescopes"
