Testimonial:
I really enjoy getting to know my students and being able to follow them through their years at Saint Michael's.
What do you like most about teaching/working at Saint Michael's College?
Often I'll have students in Calculus, and then again in Differential Equations or Applied Mathematics or Senior Seminar - it's great to see how their mathematical abilities and their confidence build over time.
What is your favorite class to teach, and why?
Differential Equations is my favorite because it's a course where mathematics meets the real world. I include many examples of how math can give insight into "real life" problems - like population growth, parachuting, springs and pendulums. We also use lots of different mathematical concepts and methods - some from calculus, some geometrical, some computational - so there's something for everyone's mathematical taste.
