Testimonial:
Saint Michael's is a close community. We're small enough that people really develop close friends, but big enough that you're constantly meeting new people. There's always something happening on campus and everyone is invited to join in all the acitivities.
Why did you decide to come to Saint Michael's?
Saint Michael's had excellent programs for the fields of study I wanted to pursue. Also, I was impressed with the welcoming attitude of the community and how happy everyone seemed to be here. I am extremely happy that I chose to come here; I can't imagine myself anywhere else.
What was a favorite class at Saint Michael's?
My favorite class so far has been Elementary Greek. I really enjoy learning a new language, especially one that has a completely different alphabet, and yet is so similar to our own language. I love discovering the etymology of our English words and learning about the ancient world.
Have you had any internship or study abroad experiences?
I am very excited to be going to Rome, Italy, for the fall 2009 semester!
What do you like to do outside of the classroom?
I am on the residence life team and play women's rugby. I also do as much as I can with
MOVE (Mobilization of Volunteer Efforts), including a service trip in January 2009 to New Orleans. I like to do anything I can to participate on campus.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I would like to join the Peace Corps. I'll work anywhere in the world as long as I get to experience a completely different culture!
