Each Advent and Lent, a group of students, faculty and staff gather to pray and reflect on the Sunday readings of the season. We do this so that we can discover a common thread in all the Sunday celebrations rather than celebrating each Sunday in isolation. In this way we view the readings as a whole fabric, extracting a focus statement which ties them all together.
For several weeks this winter, a group of us considered the readings of the five Sundays of Lent and extracted the statement which appears on the banners hanging outside on our campus Chapel, above the main lobby entrance and facing route 15. We have also printed the focus statement on cards which have been placed at each entrance of the Chapel for people to take home to serve as a reminder of our Lenten journey. This year's focus statement is "Let Christ lead you to become the good work of God." If you would like a copy of this card, please print out the

Lent is a wonderful opportunity for us to examine our lives and identify those areas in which we need to experience the mercy of God and renew our own commitment of being a member of His people. As an aid in your prayer, I encourage you to pray daily with the scripture reflections composed by members of our worshipping community. These reflections are
available online and can be printed out.
I hope you will join us in prayer either on campus or in your own home as we progress through Lent so that together we can celebrate the glory of the resurrection with hope and joy. May God's continued blessings be always upon you and your family!
