With staff support, a group of students has established the Yellow Bike Program this semester on campus. Derek Souza ’08, Dan Hock ’08 and Brittany St. John ’08 have put 25 bikes into rental use with special focus on getting students to bike instead of driving between the main campus on Route 15 and the Fort Ethan Allen campus. Bikers also can take the Yellow Bikes into Burlington.

Members of the Saint Michael’s Weight Watcher’s group recently donated about 150 pounds of non-perishable food items to the food shelf of the United Methodist Church in Winooski. MOVE Director Heidi St. Peter put Tina Tenney, associate director of Human Resources/compensation and benefits, in touch with Linda Howe, who helps run the Food Shelf and who received the gift. Howe said the Food Shelf sees a higher demand as the holidays near, especially given the present economic times.

Men’s hockey coach Chris Davidson recently announced that Doug Wright, who played four years at Providence College, will serve as the program’s top assistant coach, and Lou DiMasi III, a four-year standout at Norwich University, will become the team’s second assistant coach.
