It's easy to get to Saint Michael's.Northeast Map 

The Burlington International Airport (BTV) in South Burlington and Amtrak station in Essex Junction are both 10-minute drives from campus. The Greyhound Bus station in Burlington is within 15 minutes of campus. Taxi service is available throughout the area.

Current airlines servicing Burlington International Airport include JetBlue, United, US Airways, Northwest, Delta, American and Continental. Direct flights are available from cities including Chicago, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Detroit and Pittsburgh.

    DRIVING DIRECTIONS
    If you plan to drive to campus, the network of Interstates 91, 89 and 87 provide easy, scenic access.

    FROM EXIT 15, INTERSTATE 89:

    Main Entrance - Hoehl Welcome Center
    Bear right off of exit 15, Interstate 89. Stay in right lane and follow Route 15 through two lights. After second light bear right into "jug handle" and go through intersection to campus.

    The Office of Admission is located in the Hoehl Welcome Center [virtual tour] on the left, with visitor's parking at the entrance. 

    South Entrance
    Bear right off of exit 15, Interstate 89 and get into left lane. At first set of lights, take left into parking lot. McCarthy Arts Center is on your right. Ross Sports Center is on the left at the back of the parking lot.

    FROM AREAS IN THE REGION:

    From Boston
    Take Interstate 93 or Route 3 & 93 north to Interstate 89 (Concord, NH). Follow I-89 to Vermont Exit 15 (Winooski).

    From Worcester
    Take Interstate 290 east to Interstate 495 north to Route 3 & 93 north (Nashua), to Interstate 89 (Concord) to Exit 15 (Winooski).

    From Hartford/Springfield
    Take Interstate 91 north to Interstate 89 north (White River Junction area) Follow I-89 north to Exit 15 (Winooski). 

    From Danbury
    Take Interstate 84 east to Interstate 91 North to Interstate 89 north to Exit 15 (Winooski). 

    From Greenwich/New Haven
    Take Interstate 95 or Merritt Parkway to Interstate 91 north to Interstate 89 (White River Junction area) to Exit 15 (Winooski). 

    From New York City/New Jersey
    Take the NY State Thruway (87) to the Albany area where 87 becomes The Northway. Take Exit 20 (Queensbury), Route 149 east to Fort Ann, follow Route 4, north to Fairhaven, VT to Route 22A, north, to Route 7, north (Vergennes) to route 189, east to Interstate 89, north to Exit 15 (Winooski). 

    From Albany
    Follow directions from Adirondack Northway (87) north, listed under From New York City/New Jersey above. 

    From Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
    Most direct: N.Y. State Thruway 90 east to Route 8, east (Utica) to Route 9N, north to Ticonderoga. Cross bridge at Crown Point, NY to Route 17 north to Route 22A, north to Route 7 (Vergennes). Follow Route 7, north to Route 189 east to Interstate 89, north to Exit 15 (Winooski). 

    From North of Burlington
    Take Interstate 89 south to Exit 16. Take right off exit, follow Route 7 south to junction of Route 15 (center of Winooski) Follow Route 15 East for approximately one mile. College is on left. 

    From the Burlington International Airport
    Turn right leaving the airport onto Airport Drive. Follow the road through the sharp left turn onto White Street.  Follow White Street until you come to a three-way stop and turn right onto Airport Parkway.  You will follow Airport Parkway until you come to a blinking light. Bear left here onto Lime Kiln Road.  Lime Kiln Road will bring you to a set of lights where you will see Saint Michael's directly in front of you, at the intersection with Route 15. Take a right at this light and enter campus by taking your first right into the jug handle intersection. At the light, go straight into the campus.  The Admission Office is located in the Hoehl Welcome Center, the first building on your left-hand side.

    • Turn right out of UVM's Admission Office onto South Prospect Street
    • Turn right onto Main Street
    • Follow Main Street to I-89 North
    • Take Saint Michael's College Exit 15
    • Follow directions from Exit 15 

    From Middlebury College
    Total driving time: 45 minutes

    • Turn left from campus and take Route 7 North to Route 189
    • Merge onto I-89 North
    • Continue on I-89 North for about 3 miles
    • Take Saint Michael's College Exit 15
    • Follow directions from Exit 15 

    From Boston College
    Total driving time: 3 hours, 40 minutes

    • Head West on Rt. 30/Commonwealth Avenue
    • Turn left onto Centre Street
    • Turn right onto Boylston Street
    • Stay straight to go onto Rt. 9 and follow Rt. 9 West
    • Take the 128/95 North exit (off of Rt. 9)
    • Take exit 37B onto 93 North
    • Shortly after the “Hampton Tolls” in New Hampshire, look for the exit for I-89 North (Lebanon/White River Junction, VT)
    • Continue on I-89 North for about 1 hour and 45 minutes
    • Take Saint Michael's College Exit 15
    • Follow directions from Exit 15

    From Fairfield University

    • Take Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) North or 95 North
    • Merge onto Route 91 North through CT and MA
    • Merge onto I-89 North in Vermont

    • Merge onto I-495 via exit 26B on the Left toward Lowell

    From Providence College

    • Take I-95 North
    • Merge onto Route 128 (I-95 North)

    • After NH Tolls, merge onto I-89 North toward Lebanon/White River Junction, VT

    From St. Lawrence University

    • Take Route 11 North to Potsdam
    • Merge onto Route 11B and follow it until you reach Malone
    • Merge back onto Route 11 North through to Chateaugay
    • Take Route 374 East to I-87 North (exit 38)
    • Merge onto Route 314 East via exit 39
    • Follow Route 314 to the Grand Isle Ferry (daily, year-round)
    • Continue on Route 314 to Route 2
    • Take Route 2 South to I-89 South
    • Take Saint Michael's College Exit 16
    • Take a right onto Route 7 South
    • Follow Route 7 South into Winooski
    • Follow the round-about to Route 15 East
    • Saint Michael's College will be on the left but pass the first entrance, staying in the right hand lane
    • Bear right into the jug handle turn that brings you into the Main Entrance.

    • Merge onto I-89 South
    • Continue on I-89 South for about 40 minutes
    • Take Saint Michael's College Exit 16
    • Take a right onto Route 7 South
    • Follow Route 7 South into Winooski
    • Follow the round-about to Route 15 East
    • Saint Michael's College will be on the left but pass the first entrance, staying in the right hand lane
    • Bear right into the jug handle turn that brings you into the Main Entrance.
