How to Post a Job or Internship on Handshake
To join Handshake as an employer and begin sharing job opportunities, register at: https://app.joinhandshake.com/
To use Handshake most effectively, make sure your employer profile is complete and accurate. The Handshake employer support articles are also helpful when learning to use the platform. Select "Jobs" on the support articles dashboard to access a more in-depth guide on posting jobs.
To Post a Job on Handshake:
Log in to your Handshake account.
Click on “Post a Job” in the left column of the home dashboard. You can also click “Jobs” in the left navigation bar then select “Create a Job” in the top right corner of the screen.
When posting a job, you will be asked to complete four steps: Job Basics, Job Details, Job Preferences, and Schools. Complete the fields with as much detail as possible to find students who are qualified and interested in the position. Required fields are marked with an asterisk.
Your job posting can be seen by one or more schools depending on where you want to recruit. Click the “Schools” tab and then search for schools on the left side of the screen. You will be able to select from any of the schools that have approved your company to post jobs.
Select Saint Michael’s and any other schools you want to see your job posting. You can also select “Add All Schools” to post your job at every school you are connected with.
Once you select the school(s) you would like to see the job posting, click “Create” at the bottom of the page to review and create your posting.
Your job will be seen by students and alumni at Saint Michael’s College once it is approved by Career Education.
