One of our most frequently asked questions regarding registration is, "Can I take a class if I haven't applied to a program?" The answer is, "Yes!" Graduate policy is to allow a student to take up to six credits of course work before applying to a degree, licensure or certificate program. However, you are welcome to take courses for continuing education purposes only.
Course Schedules are listed per term in the blue box on this page and will be posted before the initial registration date for each session.
Registration Dates for the upcoming terms are:
Fall 2008:
Matriculated students: Beginning Monday, June 2, 2008.
Non-matriculated students: Beginning Monday, June 30, 2008

(Classes begin Monday, September 1, 2008.)
Spring 2009:
Matriculated students: Beginning Monday, November 3, 2008.
Non-matriculated students: Beginning Monday, December 1, 2008.
Course Schedule will be posted on the Web no later than Monday, November 3, 2008.

Should you need help with deciding what course is appropriate for you to take, you can meet with one of our academic advisors in the program of your choice. The contact information is listed at the top of each program's course schedule. If at any time you are unsure or cannot find what you need, e-mail us at graduate@smcvt.edu.
Current students may also wish to meet with the appropriate program director or faculty advisor before registering. All course changes, withdrawals, and special arrangements must be approved by the appropriate program director.
