Students with a Vermont teaching license are eligible for the Reading/English Language Arts Specialist Endorsement upon completing Saint Michael's approved program. In consultation with an advisor, students select six courses (18 credits) in the areas of reading instruction and methods, reading assessment, language arts, and children’s literature. When these courses are complete, students are eligible to take GED 688D Reading Practicum (3 credits). Upon successfully completing the Practicum and literacy coursework, students are eligible to receive the additional endorsement.
