Distance Courses

Saint Michael's College offers some of its MATESOL courses online using the eCollege Web course management tools.  We continue to add new online courses, so make sure to check back frequently. The majority of our courses are currently offered face-to-face, supplemented by online resources (hybrid courses).

Not all online courses are available every semester. Make sure to check the course listings under Courses & Registration for the specific semester that you are interested in. There is a $100 technology service fee (for use of 24-hour help desk) in addition to tuition. Students interact with the instructor and each other through threaded discussions; text, voice or webcam chats; email, peer reviews; and, collaborative projects.

Typical online and hybrid courses available in the MATESOL degree program:

  • GSL 520 Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), 3 credits - online
  • GSL 564 Literature in ESL/EFL, 3 credits - online
