In order to develop students to their fullest potential in an academic setting and in their work and community organizations, students must show proficiency in writing and quantitative skills to achieve candidacy. After admission to the MSA program, but prior to the completion of 12 credits, students must complete the candidacy requirements and apply for candidacy.
