Application For English Language Programs

Download and complete our PDF application, or complete the application online. If you are going to send the form to our postal address, make certain that the application is properly signed by the student, by the financial sponsor if appropriate, and by a parent or guardian if the student is under 18 years of age.

Application for Undergraduate Programs

Identification

Attach a passport-sized photograph and a copy of your passport page that includes your name and date of birth.

Academic Credentials

Intensive English Program applicants must submit a copy (in English) of the last academic transcript received.

Academic English Program applicants must submit an official certificate and grade report evidencing completion of secondary education. This document should be in English or have a certified English translation attached.

Financial Affidavit of Support

United States Immigration regulations require the documentation of financial ability be provided before the U.S. Immigration Certificate of Eligibility I-20 form can be issued. Students and their sponsors must certify on the application form that they have sufficient funds available to cover the cost of expenses incurred during the program. To document financial ability, you may send either an official bank statement or an official letter signed by an officer of the bank. If the referenced bank account is in the name of someone other than the student, that person must sign as financial sponsor on the application form, or submit a letter or affidavit of support.

What will happen after your application is received at Saint Michael's College?

Once all materials are received, an admission decision will be made within 7 days. You will be notified about our decision by mail. If accepted, a packet will be sent to your postal address which will include:

  • An acceptance letter
  • A U.S. Immigration Certificate of Eligibility I-20 Form
  • Relevant admission materials
  • Information on obtaining your F-1 Visa at the U.S. Embassy

When you receive your acceptance letter and the I-20 form from Saint Michael's College, contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country to learn how you can apply for your F-1 visa. You will need schedule an appointment for an interview. Take the acceptance letter and I-20 with your passport to the Embassy for the interview, along with your financial documentation. More complete information about applying for a visa in your country will be included in the admission packet you receive after being accepted at Saint Michael's College.
