A TOEFL score may determine the program level you will enter. Requirements vary according to the program you would like to attend:

PBT denotes "Paper-Based Test"
CBT denotes "Computer-Based Test"
Intensive English Program
TOEFL scores are NOT required to enter the program.
Academic English Program
Requirement: TOEFL score of at least 480 PBT / 157 CBT.
Undergraduate
Requirement: TOEFL score of at least 550 PBT / 213 CBT.
Master's of Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language
Requirement: TOEFL score of at least 550 PBT / 213 CBT.
TESL/TEFL Diploma Program
Requirement: TOEFL score of at least 550 PBT / 213 CBT.
Master's Programs
Requirement: TOEFL score of at least 550 PBT / 213 CBT.
** If you take the TOEFL exam before you apply, please place the code number for Saint Michael's College, 3757, on the TOEFL answer form at the time of your examination so the score results will be reported promptly to the College. TOEFL scores are valid for 2 years.
